For people not wanting to spend the money on Microfost Word but still want a Word Processor why not try AbiWord. Abiword may not look too familier if your experience lies with MS Word however it does'nt take long to get to grips with it. There are also some features not available in Word like the link to Wikipedia. Lovely feature especially for students.

For an alternative to the bothersome Acrobat Reader try downloading and using Fox IT reader. Much quicker to load and one that doesn't hassle you every five minutes to update it. One thing we did notice with this software is that sometimes it does not automatically register itself as the default program for opening all pdf documents. THis can be a pain if you've removed acrobat then double click on a pdf file only to find nothing tries to open it up. However it's not too hard to fix this up folow our guide here.

What about defragging your Hard Disk anyone tell you about that? When do we ever want to turn our system on just to defrag it? Never! Here's a program that once loadd will run whenver the screensaver is triggered. In other words you load it and when you're not using the computer it will start defragging. You come back move the mouse and go back to work. This keeps yur system in tip top condition and when it's more timely for you. Makes perfect sense. It's called JK Defrag and you can get it here.
